Body Composition Analyzer
Optimum Gym South Tampa uses the InBody 570 which goes beyond traditional body composition analysis. It not only analyzes how much fat and muscle you have, but it also measures your Total Body Water and divides it into Intracellular Water and Extracellular Water, values important for understanding a user’s fluid distribution in medical, wellness, or fitness contexts.
The InBody Test
Only impedance is used to determine your body composition results; no statistical data or empirical equations are used or required to predict your body composition.
45 Second Test
Measure your fat, muscle, and water levels in less than a minute. No dunking. No pinching. No discomfort. Simply stand on the device and hold the hand electrodes to test.
Segmental Fat and Lean Mass Analysis
Identify how many pounds of lean mass and fat are in each body segment. This can be utilized to determine how specific diets and exercises are affecting the body composition.
Fit3D Body Scan
A Fit3D, 360 scan is a great way to know your starting point and be able to track your progress over time.
From losing weight to building muscle the 3D scans can tell you how your body is changing with your fitness routine.
The scan provides over 200 accurate body measurements allowing you to compare and share your changes from
scan to scan.
Body scans and measurements are private. You can choose who will see your images. If you decide to invite your coach/trainer to your account then you can decide if you want them to see your measurements only, with no scans, or allow them to see your images as well.
Repeat the scan to compare your measurements and guage where you are seeing progress. From losing weight to building muscle the 3D scans can tell you how your body is changing with your fitness routine and will help you see progress right before your eyes!
For your Fit3D scan:
- Be sure to wear minimal, form-fitting clothing.
Men: Thin fabric shorts
Women: Lycra/spandex-type shorts and sports bra (no wire or padding)
- It is recommended that you do not exercise before the scan.
V02MAX Cardio Fitness Test
The more oxygen your body consumes, the more calories you burn. It’s that simple. The VO2 max test allows us to measure how much oxygen you burn at any given heart rate during exercise, giving you the most accurate estimation available of caloric burn during your workout. Never again will you have to wonder if those calorie counters on your treadmill are telling you the truth. Weight loss not your thing? If you’re an athlete, the VO2 max is the gold standard for measuring your cardiovascular fitness level, and testing it regularly is a great way to monitor the effectiveness of any training program.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing
A Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test should be the foundation of any sensible eating and overall nutritional strategy. The number of calories your body burns at rest accounts for roughly 70% of your total caloric burn throughout the day. By knowing your RMR, we can determine a calorie target that is specific to your unique physiology, and appropriate for your health and fitness goals.
